The Erik Bruun for Makia collaboration highlights the artist behind some of our country’s best-known illustrations. During his exceptional 76-year career, Erik has created countless iconic illustrations, ranging from the thousand-mark banknote to the famous Jaffa posters and the smiling seal that later became known as the logo of the Finnish Association for Nature Preservation. 

Many of Erik’s works draw inspiration from Finnish nature, and for this collection, we had the honor of sampling three of them. The result is a collection that celebrates the extraordinary life and works of soon-to-be hundred-year-old Erik Bruun.
