MAKIA SECOND HAND
You can now sell your used Makia clothing and accessories back to us and receive a gift card to our online store in return.
At the same time, we also offer you the opportunity to buy pre-owned Makia items through our resale partner Ninyes. All products are inspected, and you’ll receive the normal return rights. Easy and professional.
Makia believes that sustainability is the key to more responsible consumption. Sustainability means both physical durability – a well-designed, high-quality, and repairable product – as well as an emotional bond created by timeless and functional design that you want to use again and again.
If, for some reason, that emotional bond wears thin and you no longer need your Makia item, our goal is to immediately find a new user for it and prolong its journey with someone else. That’s why we have launched the new and user-friendly Makia Second Hand service.
According to a report by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, if we doubled the lifespan of our clothes, the textile industry’s greenhouse gas emissions could be reduced by up to 44%.
Selling made easy
Our secondhand partner is Ninyes, a Finnish company and the first and only buying and selling service in Northern Europe dedicated exclusively to responsibly made clothing. In the Ninyes online store, you’ll find the best and carefully curated selection of Makia Second Hand products.
We’ve made selling Makia Second Hand items as easy as possible for you. Send us your used Makia products and we’ll redeem them for a gift card within two weeks.
To make the service even easier, you can also send in products from over 200 other brands together with your Makia items and choose a gift card for your favorite brand. Check the brand list here.
Compensation
The compensation you receive is based on the estimated resale price of the used products, as follows:
- Resale price €10–80 → you receive 60% compensation
- Resale price over €80 → you receive 80% compensation for the portion exceeding €80
Compensation is paid as a gift card. A processing fee of €2.80 per item, as well as possible shipping costs, will be deducted from the gift card value.
The gift card will be delivered to you within two weeks after your items have been received. A Makia gift card is valid for 12 months.

Pack and send the items you want to sell. Add a note inside the package with your name, phone number, and email address.

You will receive your gift card within 2 weeks after your items have been received.
What can you sell through us?
YES
All clothing and accessories in good condition and current styles. Items must be intact and clean, with the original label attached. The resale price must be at least 10€.
NO
Dirty, stained, or broken clothing. Clearly grayed, faded, discolored, or worn-out clothing. Items with fur or animal hair. Counterfeit products and “second-quality” items with cut labels.
