Makia for John Nurminen Foundation
As a part of our ongoing collaboration with the John Nurminen foundation (JNS), we have worked on a unisex capsule collection of JNS products that collect funds towards improving the condition of the Baltic Sea. The funds are directed towards concrete measures that reduce the load and environmental risks faced by the Baltic Sea. JNS’ work is guided by measurable results and impact.
The shallow Baltic Sea that is located in the arm of the Atlantic Ocean and is burdened by eutrophication caused by nutrient runoff from agriculture and forestry, in particular. This is why we want to bring attention to this important cause and the work done by JNS foundation by releasing a line of easily approachable unisex products that adorn the classic JNS logo with a ‘Save the Baltic Sea’ slogan. The products are made from organic cotton in Turkey. All the proceedings from this collaboration will be directed to JNS for their work towards protecting the Baltic Sea. Also, In 2022 we are donating 1% of our 2022 web store sales to JNS’ important work.
Founded in 1992, The John Nurminen Foundation has been awarded for its work as a conveyor of culture and producer of marine content. The goal of the Foundation’s environmental projects is to improve the condition of the Baltic Sea with protection measures that bring results, and ensure that the stories of the sea are passed on to future generations. The independent foundation’s work is guided by measurable results and impact, that we will present more in-depth during this year.
