Kummeli Forever

KUMMELI FOREVER.

Kyllä lähtee! We joined forces with Kummeli once more – and this time, the collection is more than apparel. The Kummeli Forever collaboration is a grand-scale tribute to the comedy phenomenon that changed the Finnish sense of humour for good.   

But before we get to the collection itself, we need to rewind the clock a bit. About a year ago, in late 2024, we released the Makia x Kummeli collaboration. It was a topic dear to us, since many of us had grown up watching the show – like the majority of people in Finland.   

For the sequel, we wanted to take the same recipe and turn it up a notch. Some of the most beloved characters and bits were chosen for the prints, resulting in items such as the Panomies Racing Jacket and the Seksipuhelin line-up. Alongside the clothing styles, we included the Kummeli Home collection, with the world-famous Tonnin Seteli facial expression immortalized in duvet cover sets, towels, and more.   

But there’s also a tragic side to the story. On 18th of December 18th, 2024, Heikki Silvennoinen passed away. One of the driving forces behind Kummeli, Heikki had been a part of innumerable Finns’ lives, and the whole nation immediately knew that we had lost one of the all-time greats. His passing left us at a great loss – but also filled with fond memories.  

The collection’s name was changed to Kummeli Forever to underline the long-lasting impact that Heikki’s life and work have had. Times have changed, but some things are forever. The laughter Heikki’s characters and bits have brought us goes on. The rest of the guys are still active and keeping the spirit of Kummeli alive on stage.  

Through this collaboration, we want to pay tribute to all the joy Heikki has brought us all – and also share Heikki’s love for a cause that was close to his heart: junior ice hockey. Part of the collaboration’s proceeds are donated to support underprivileged kids’ participation in ice hockey. The Hessu Ice Hockey Grant is implemented in partnership with Icehearts, an organization specializing in preventive child welfare work.
