True North – Makia Fall 2021
True North, is the direction along Earth’s surface towards the geographic North Pole, when the compass points towards the N. For this fall, we wanted to portray the essence of the scarcely populated region of Northern Scandinavia, with its raw nature and almost otherworldly feel, where human-built structures form the furthest roots of urban infrastructure and blend into nature.
Our aim, to make designs that solve practical problems and combine functionality with aesthetics. Clothes that are a part of our lives, instead of being a luxury. Products that adapt to our everyday life and become classics.
