Olle Eksell

Makia has worked with the archives of legendary Swedish graphic designer and illustrator Olle Eksell on a clothing collection paying homage to Olle’s work and heritage as a visionary designer.

Olle Eksell (1918-2007) was one of Sweden’s most prominent graphic designers. In 1956 he designed the iconic logo for the famous Swedish chocolate producer Mazetti, this became known as Ögon Cacao (“eyes of cacao”). In 2001, the Swedish Government presented Olle with an honorary Professorship for his significant contribution to the field of Design.
Olle was a designer driven by joy and curiosity who loved his work and never stopped creating.

The Makia x Olle Eksell collection consists of unisex pieces featuring Olle Eksell’s original artwork as well as accessories and children’s products.
