Back in the early 90s, Finnish skaters, snowboarders, and surfers were pretty much on their own. Snowboarding was still some years away from being included in the Olympics, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater hadn’t yet rocketed skateboarding into the mainstream. It was clear the community needed a media outlet to call their own. Flashback, a magazine for freestyle sports and underground culture, was an answer to that call. This collaboration celebrates Flashback – and the revolution it started.
