Remember Me

Sunday March 8th is the International Women’s Day. To celebrate we are taking a small trip down the memory lane by sharing a brief history of our women’s collection.
Since our first collection, we’ve always had it in our minds that women need to be able to wear our clothes, and quickly they did with our unisex-like styles such as the Raglan Parka. A few years rolled by and our products became increasingly popular with the girls.

One of our brand’s largest retailers, Stockmann, requested Makia to produce a women’s line exclusively for them. This made it easy for us to take the leap and produce our most popular styles in women’s sizes and fits.
Makia Women SS18
Since its launch in 2011, the ladies’ collection has seen the streets of Tokyo and London, while growing into a comprehensive selection of nordic essentials for the girls, with the addition of a footwear line, and a girl’s exclusive collaboration being introduced for this spring. Today, the women’s collection is our fastest growing product category.
