See the True North. Makia Winter 2021-22 available now.
Up North, as we are well into the fall mid-season and as the temperatures keep plummeting, it is a great time to introduce our Winter 2021-22 essentials.
The women’s collection is rich with calm earthy colours that draw inspiration from tones out of the northern landscape—shades of green, beige, and black with the occasional spark of ochre yellow and berry red.
From heavier recycled polyester winter jackets to comfortable merino wool knits, organic cotton sweats, and Tencel dresses, the collection is about harmony and combining nordic cold weather know-how with comfort and functionality that adapts to winter surroundings.
On the men’s side the collection continues on the same principles, carrying tones inspired by the rugged Nordic landscape and styles adapting to nature’s elements. Highlights include the new Cardinal Jacket combining Nordic minimalism and functionality, a new dark green for the Grit and Outpost jackets as well the Base Reversible Vest. Pierre Wikberg’s images can also be found printed on a collection of sweats and t-shirts inside the men’s range.
A new highlight for the kids’ comprehensive range is the Huurre Puffer Jacket, as well as the collaboration prints with Swedish artist Olle Eksell.
The collection goes by the theme ‘True North’ and is accompanied by a 20th-anniversary lookbook shot by northern local Pierre Wikberg.
